WHAT YOU'LL DO

  Serve as the technical lead for the data engineering team — guiding development decisions, unblocking engineers, and maintaining the quality bar without direct management authorit
• yLead future development efforts of a mature, high-visibility profitability product immediately post-launc
• hParticipate in architecture design and represent the team in cross-functional architect committee
• sMentor junior and mid-level engineers as a core part of your day-to-day — not a side responsibilit
• yPartner with the Engineering Manager on sprint planning and bodies of work in a two-week Agile cadenc

  7 years of focused data engineering experience in enterprise or midsize-to-large organizat
• ionsAWS as your dominant cloud platform, with hands-on experience in the past couple of years — this role lives in the AWS-native dirty det
• ailsStrong Python and PySpark proficiency; the ability to write clean, production-grade code matters more than familiarity with any specific orchestration
• toolStrong SQL — considered a baseline expectation at this l
• evelExperience with analytical data warehousing; Redshift is the platform in use, though Databricks or Snowflake backgrounds with strong SQL and PySpark transfer
