Mobile QA Engineering Lead

Our client is a prominent Global leader dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences with over 1,000 subsidiaries and affiliated brands. We are seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance (QA) to lead QA Engineering efforts across our Product Development teams, helping deliver high-quality, customer-driven software used by millions. This role involves shaping QA strategy, building automation, mentoring engineers, and driving a culture of quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Position Summary:

• Lead comprehensive quality reviews for all feature development.
• Create and maintain scalable QA strategies, automation frameworks, and testing standards.
• Continuously improve test coverage, speed, and efficiency.
• Approach complex systems with a big-picture mindset while executing locally.
• Provide automation for all aspects of the quality review process.
• Write high-quality automated test code using Java and other high-level languages.
• Build and deliver robust automated test suites for web technologies, services, and physical devices.
• Track and synthesize results from multiple simultaneous test executions.
• Work closely with Product Development teams to plan iterative development cycles in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to support digital products in production as Tier 3 support.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, including leadership.
• Translate business requirements into actionable test strategies and risk assessments.
• Apply DevOps principles to deliver software to production early and often.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools for reliable deployments.
• Work with distributed systems built from loosely coupled, contractually obligated services.
• Champion a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Lead, develop, and mentor QA Engineers of varying skill levels.
• Promote a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
• Receive and provide mentorship with senior engineering staff.
• Gather and analyze data to support business cases, project prioritization, and system enhancements.
• Use data-driven insights to drive quality metrics and continuous improvement.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 5 years of QA or Software Development experience, with strong automation background.
• Experience using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, OpenStack, and similar tools.
• Deep understanding of test planning, test design, test strategy, and execution.
• Experience building tools or harnesses to support test script creation and automation.
• Proven ability to collaborate closely with Developers and Engineers to implement effective QA solutions.
• Experience improving system design and testing processes at an organizational level.
• Strong development skills with a commitment to software craftsmanship.
• Experience working with Cloud technologies and SaaS platforms.
