- 2nd Shift: Saturday, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Assignment Type: Contract with potential for extension.

About the Role
The Manufacturing Production Supervisor plays a key leadership role in managing and guiding production workers to meet established goals while upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role requires strong organizational skills to coordinate manufacturing and warehouse functions within a large, fast-paced food production facility.
Approximately 80% of this position is production-focused, with 20% dedicated to supporting Shipping and Receiving.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure goals are met on time and within quality standards.
- Schedule, assign tasks, monitor efficiency, and troubleshoot production challenges.
- Collaborate with Shipping and Receiving teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and products.
- Develop and monitor short- and long-term plant action plans.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and cost-saving initiatives to drive efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Safeway, federal, and state regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.).
- Promote a safe, team-oriented, and trust-based work environment.
- Drive employee development, training, and performance improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred (manager will consider candidates with relevant work experience).
- 2 years leadership experience in a production environment.
- 1 year experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse, unionized workforce.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to adapt to additional applications.
- Flexibility to work required hours, including holidays as needed.
