MMC Group is hiring a Fiscal Support Specialist for our client in Abilene, TX, to provide administrative, financial, and payroll support to the Fiscal Operations team.
The Fiscal Support Specialist will process payroll data, maintain financial records, support reporting needs, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting fiscal operations and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Process employee data changes and assist with bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare, compile, and analyze financial reports for management
- Maintain, update, and audit financial databases and files
- Review contracts and documentation for policy and compliance requirements
- Maintain organized financial records for audits and reporting
- Provide general administrative and fiscal support to the department
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, payroll, or fiscal operations highly preferred
- Knowledge of payroll practices, budget control processes, and fiscal policies
- Understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required
