Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tax/Assurance Operations Administrator to support the smooth and efficient functioning of our tax and assurance teams in our Latham location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about delivering high-quality administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and assemble financial statements and tax returns (paper and digital).
- Process and scan client tax documents into Axcess Tax; manage e-filing and delivery via Safe Send.
- Maintain client records in Axcess Client Manager and manage project workflows in Workstream.
- Upload and organize client files in Document; set up and support Portal accounts.
- Handle engagement letters and organizers; track and communicate data status.
- Support 1099 processing, mail handling, and shipping coordination (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Assist with client onboarding, billing arrangements, and ad hoc administrative tasks.
- Switchboard operation as backup.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Professional, friendly demeanor with the ability to handle diverse tasks in audit and tax environments.
