To strengthen our motivated Offset Printing Team at our plant in Indianapolis, IN we are looking for a highly competent Press Assistant.
Your Role
- Performs area clearance to ensure product mix does not occur.
- You will read and understand the job ticket to determine job set-up.
- You will acquire and load materials according to schedule returning unused stock in a timely manner.
- Inspects, mounts, removes, defaces, and properly disposes plates.
- Sets up and adjusts guides to ensure quality work.
- Monitors and keeps press running during Operator breaks and lunch.
- Performs wash up duties on press for completed orders.
- Operates fork truck and roll truck.
- Maintains accurate records using good documentation practices.
- Contributes to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free work area and promptly reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Complies with environmental and OSHA requirements to include wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as reasonably requested.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months general work experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Detail-oriented, quality and safety focused
- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Experience working in a detailed, fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with cGMP pharmaceutical printing or packaging industry
