To strengthen our team at MM Packaging, we are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator who will support our production and sales teams by preparing accurate cost estimates and analyzing customer specifications within our manufacturing environment.
Your Role
- You will prepare cost estimates using current costing parameters including raw materials and production performance.
- You will generate and analyze pricing derived from cost estimates to support quoting and bid preparation.
- You will develop and maintain customer pricing matrices when required.
- You will collaborate with customer service, sales teams, and internal and external customers to support project requirements.
- You will assist with sales presentations when pricing or cost analysis support is required.
- You will review pricing discrepancies and resolve issues related to estimates or quotations.
- You will work with production teams to understand cost drivers and manufacturing considerations.
- You will assist in preparing job costing analysis used during monthly financial reviews.
- You are passionate about tracking and maintaining metrics related to department service levels and workflow throughput.
- You have a high school diploma; a college degree is preferred.
- You have already gained at least two years of related experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- You have the ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
- You have already gained experience in pharmaceutical printing or folding carton industries (preferred).
- You think and act independently.
- You have the ability to evaluate structural drawings and technical layouts.
- You have the ability to read and interpret customer specifications.
- You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- You have a strong awareness of time constraints and production timelines.
- You have a general understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) related to pharmaceutical printed components.
- You communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- You communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- You have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
