This position is for a 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician at our facility in Charlotte, NC.
Your Role
- Makes critical decisions for the repair mechanical and electrical issues and conducts mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Fabricates parts on a lathe or mill is a plus but not required
- Performs mechanical/electrical trouble shooting by reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Research part numbers for various machines.
- Understand and input information into maintenance software.
- Escorts pest control technicians if needed.
- Participates in cost savings measures.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Performs other duties that are maintenance related
Your Profile
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum two years Technical school certificate in Industrial Technology or related field required.
- Five years in industrial maintenance in manufacturing environment required.
- Must have mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- PLC knowledge and troubleshooting control circuits is required
- Offset printing, Die Cutting and Folder Gluer experience preferred
- Basic welding knowledge a plus.
- Basic plumbing experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Use of basic computer skills.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously; multi-tasking.
- Good organizational skills
- Sense of urgency
- Ability to work well with outside vendors and internal customers.
