Mortgage Loan Processor – Broker Loans
Position Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processor supports the mortgage broker by managing residential loan files from application through submission to investors and closing. This role is responsible for collecting and validating borrower documentation, submitting to lenders/investors and follow up on additional required documentation. The processor works closely with loan officers, borrowers, and investors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant loan processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation, as required by the investor, (income, assets, credit, and liabilities)
- Manage files through underwriting and closing.
- Communicate directly with investor’s underwriters to address conditions and resolve issues
- Gather and clear underwriting conditions in coordination with borrowers and loan officers
- Order and track third-party services (appraisal, title, VOEs, etc.) as needed
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines and federal/state regulations (TRID, RESPA, etc.)
- Maintain pipeline and ensure loans progress efficiently toward closing
- Provide consistent updates to loan officers and borrowers on loan status
- Maintain customer privacy and keep non-public personal information private and secure as well as safeguarding company confidential information
Qualifications
- 3 years of mortgage processing experience, preferrable on the broker side.
- Experience submitting loans to multiple lenders/investors
- Strong attention to detail and ability to package clean loan files
- Encompass use preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Microsoft Office skills.
