PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN II - Andover

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing the technical operation of the area.
JOB DETAILS:
- Monitor the daily flow of work so that technical issues do not prevent goals from being met.
- Train employees in correct manufacturing methods and procedures. Continue to provide technical assistance and coaching as needed.
- Produce products as needed.
- Review the accuracy and utility of documents used to produce “specials”, develop and produce additional work procedures as needed, and assist in “specials” product manufacture.
- Provide timely and accurate information about production problems, equipment problems and yield issues to the manager, group leader and appropriate support groups.
- Communicate with team members daily to resolve technical problems preventing efficient, orderly workflow.
- Provide back-up to the group leader on all technical issues related to manufacturing.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- ASEE, ASME or equivalent.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective analytic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must have demonstrated an ability to handle effectively multiple tasks and competing demands.
- Familiarity with word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet applications.
- Must be highly self-motivated and have been effective in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to read manufacturing documents and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiarity in JIT and Lean manufacturing preferred.
