As an Equipment Engineer at MKS, you will maintain, support, and troubleshoot systems and vacuum test stations in the plasma lab for the Plasma and Reactive Gas Business Unit. These test stations are used for evaluating performance of MKS Plasma Products, including microwave and toroidal plasma sources that are used for state-of-the-art Semiconductor Processing. The test stations consist of vacuum systems with mass flow controllers, pressure gauges, pressure control valves, water cooling, vacuum pumps, Labview control, as well as gas abatement systems and safety interlock systems. You will report to the Sr. Principal Scientist.

Position is full time on site in Wilmington MA Ability to lift Labview, Solidworks, or Matlab a plus Experience in a Semiconductor fab or equipment environment is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $71,025.00 - $118,375.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.

You Will Make an Impact By:
- Maintain and periodically upgrade, adapt, or modify equipment for different uses.
- Understand and maintain safety systems including hazardous gas sensors and interlocks
- Execute and follow procedures for gas bottle changes and operation of gas cabinets for flammable and hazardous gasses.
- Reconfigure and modify test systems to accommodate needs for particular tests and users
- On wafer particle metrology testing in a clean room, including executing tests, operating wafer particle metrology equipment, and documenting results. This is approximately 30-35% of the role
- Related Experience as a hands on equipment maintenance technician or engineer, ideally maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment or military equipment.
- 3-5 years in a lab or industrial equipment intensive environment
- Associates degree, Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience in a technical field
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot vacuum systems
- Hands on electro-mechanical, vacuum assembly, debug and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with engineers and scientists
- Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and especially Excel)
- A detail oriented, practical problem solver
- Adaptable and eager to learn
