Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Conduct residential painting and touch-ups as needed to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Execute commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Serve as a porter by assisting with the movement of furniture and supplies as required.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to enhance appearance and longevity.
- Engage in industrial cleaning processes for specialized areas requiring heavy-duty cleaning methods.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a strong focus on cleanliness.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment operation.
- Strong skills in facilities maintenance with the ability to perform minor repairs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Capable of performing floor care tasks including buffing and polishing effectively.
