The role of Box Office Manager has a dual focus within the theatre: MRF budget ownership in areas of 3D & PLF, labor for box office, floor and usher, alternative content promotion along with Gift Cards, B2C events promotion and operational execution. This individual has an entrepreneurial drive and seeks opportunities to increase theatre revenue and improve the guest experience.
Working collaboratively with the broader management team, the Box Office Manager is accountable to manage the overall day to day theatre operations. This role provides leadership, guidance and direction in all areas delivering a better movie going experience for our guests and consistently improving employee engagement.
Qualifications:- Successful track record in managing/overseeing operations in a retail/service centric environment
- Skill to manage labor targets/budgets
- Ability to manage and execute marketing programs
- Experience in people management
- Passionate in delivering quality products/service in a guest service environment
- Engaged in finding solutions & efficiency
- Thrives in a fast paced, results oriented work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Comfortable in providing / presenting recommendations/advice in areas of expertise
- Ownership & accountability of budgets, targets & results
- Completion of a relatable post-secondary program is an asset
- Minimum five years experience in related industry (guest service / retail environment)
