As a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry we have the privilege of tailoring our store to meet our community needs. In addition to providing the community with their hardware needs we are also sell lumber, fence, fertilizer and Purina Feed.
The primary responsibility of the Lawn and Garden Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management team.
Major responsibilities are as follows:
~Ensure each customer receives outstanding service, which follows the S.A.L.E.S. process and by Mystery Shop standards
~Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
~Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and prioritizes assigned by the store management
~Assist in the training and development of peers
~Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
~Be responsive to safety issues
~Be conscious of shoplifting activities
~Aid customers in locating merchandise in store, on aceharware.com, as well as process special orders
~Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card
~Answer customers questions and provide information on procedures and policies
~Posses a vast knowledge of lawn and garden related products along with a willingness to learn
~Have experience in sales and marketing plus retail programs and establishing relationships and working with customers
~Be a solid term player with excellent interpersonal skills
~Have a common sense and be self-motivated
~Team player with the ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the need of the business
