What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Millwright position at MJB Wood Group LLC?
This millwright position will be a part of the maintenance team. You will be tasked with maintaining, repairing, and upgrading industrial equipment. Other maintenance responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing problems with equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, align, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to perform repairs and installations.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, dismantle equipment, and repair or replace defective parts.
- Aligning gears, shafts, and couplings.
- Perform welding and fabrication for repairs and new equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment including mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Operate scissor lifts and other heavy machinery safely.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and Lockout-Tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to address equipment-related challenges.
- Assist in the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds
Requirements:
- 8 years, recent, work experience as a millwright and/or equivalent field.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, multitasker and able to manage multiple schedules for the most efficient throughput
- Must have ability to handle flexible/changing schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting.
