We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. The production Supervisor provides leadership in setting and achieving business objectives and is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Responsible for Department SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost)
- Responsible for existing product lines and total customer satisfaction.
- Production and capacity planning for primary and secondary operating shifts
- Material and supply replenishment systems to drive vendor demand
- Production planning to sequence build plan efficiently and effectively
- Effectively interface with warehouse management and meet shipping requirements
- On time and complete delivery of all customer orders
- Customer service and quality resolution
- Responsible for the successful introduction of new products into existing processes.
- Creating costing models for all quotes
- Development of prototypes and all required tooling
- Development of the production and materials plans
- Responsible for the development of short and long-term written plans for implementing and sustaining continuous improvement (lean manufacturing).
- Material Cost Reductions
- Manufacturing Process Improvement
- Review projects and sets priorities that assures all project commitments are achieved
- Responsible for overall adjustments to staffing levels and flexing rules for operation
- Responsible for communicating vision, targets and progress to targets to members and management on a regular basis. Recognize operational successes
- Responsible for the development and compliance of departmental policies and procedures
- Prepares and presents management reviews including corrective action plans for key operating trends and processes.
- Conducting quarterly performance reviews and establishing performance objectives for all production personnel.

- Prefer experience with lean manufacturing tools.
Required Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years of related experience and/or training with a preference for wood environment experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to Bend or Stoop
Qualifications:
- Assertive, self-motivated person with the ability to teach and motivate others
- Over 5 years manufacturing experience – prefer wood products
- Budgeting and Financial analysis skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools
- Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail
