We’re looking for a skilled and motivated dog groomer who is just as passionate about working with people as they are about working with dogs.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of grooming experience and brings a well-rounded skillset, including:
- Strong clipping and scissoring techniques
- Ability to perform breed-specific grooms that highlight each dog’s best qualities
- The ability to show stack and gait a dog.
- Understanding of canine structure and anatomy
- Confidence in reading body language and stress signals
- Ability to adjust handling and approach based on each dog
You should be:
- Passionate about continuing education and improving your craft
- Open to feedback and able to explain your grooming decisions (products, styles, techniques)
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Interested in taking on leadership responsibilities as you grow
Client Experience Matters
This role goes beyond grooming. You’ll also:
- Greet and communicate with clients in a professional, welcoming way
- Educate clients on grooming, coat care, and other services
- Build long-term relationships through strong customer service
- Support and contribute to the growth of the grooming department
- Occasionally host presentations and workshops.

Responsibilities
- Bathing and fluff drying using drying and brushing techniques suited to the dog’s coat type.
- Full grooming (pet trims to show-inspired styles)
- Handling dogs safely and thoughtfully
- Communicating with clients about services and results
- Maintaining a clean work area.
- Rebooking and checking out clients using our software
- Maintaining notes about styles and behavior within the business’s software.
- Contributing to team responsibilities.
Additional Position Details
- Part-time to start, with room for growth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lifting for larger dogs)
- Must maintain a consistently friendly and professional demeanor
