What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Technician position at MJ Morgan Group?
We’re looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Jessup, MD! In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain and repair our ammonia-based refrigeration systems that are essential to our production, processing, and storage operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration systems
- Perform safety checks and system inspections
- Troubleshoot and fix system problems
- Ensure all work meets safety and industry standards
- Work closely with other technicians
- Keep detailed records of work done
- Help install new systems and run performance tests
- Respond to emergency repair calls
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–3 years of experience with ammonia or similar refrigeration systems
- Certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or related field
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Able to use control and monitoring software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Electrical certification or similar experience with high/low voltage
- Bonus: PLC knowledge
- Must read and understand English instructions
- Physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in different conditions
- Must be available to work production days, including Sundays
Schedule: 1st Shift - 6:30am to finish
Pay Rate: $30/hr
