Our Client is an International Bank in Midtown Manhattan and seeks an AVP of Loan Processing:
Job Description:
Responsible for managing Loan Operations staff of 2 and workflow, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all Loans transactions, and Investigations/compensations. Ensure that timely, accurate records/information is provided/maintained, and that all relevant controls & procedures are followed.
Qualifications
Five to ten years “hands on” experience working with the products, systems and processes listed below. Must have thorough knowledge of the following:
- Loans and processing; to include knowledge of BAFT compensation & funds transfer systems’ rules (Fedwire Funds).
Required Knowledge/skills
- Systems: SWIFT (including MX message types), Fedwire Funds, Fusion Midas, Actimize (OFAC)
- Related regulatory and compliance rules & regulations (OFAC USA Patriot Act, etc.)
- Highly developed skills in the following areas: Communication (written & verbal), analytical, organizational, math, people skills (ability to relate to people at all levels), PC skills (Excel & Word)
- Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and when working under pressure.
- Systems implementation for Wholesale Commercial Loans and General Ledger
- College Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
Essential Duties Ensure all departmental processes & controls are followed (Daily, Weekly, Monthly.
Loans
- Verify/authorize transactions entered in Fusion Midas for loans: CA’s,, Fees, borrowings, loan sales/purchases, Notes/guaranties, amendments (rates, spread etc),
- Reconcile/verify GL balances Vs. Loan Summary report (for loans outstanding), and Vs. Upfront Fee Control Report for fees booked in Midas; Review error reports.
- Interact with auditors/examiners and provide information as requested
- Process/verify: (a) monthly corporate loan pledge report for loans pledged to FRB under BIC program (b) Entries and reports for loans classified as PDO & NALO as needed (c) Journal entries for loan write-offs, recoveries, provisions etc.
- Monitor the amounts and changes to loans pledged to FRB under BIC
- Prepare & distribute management reports for PDO, NALO loans, and the Acquisition Finance reports for H. O.
- Reconciliation/control of notes received in support of lending activities
- Process and track break funding fees due
- Reconcile “Upfront Fee” report
- Monitor and update Alternate Base Rate changes In Fusion Midas
- Update related Corporate Operations Departmental Policies and Procedures. Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
- Verify/authorize journal entries
- Conduct annual Disaster Recovery Testing, & test /resolve systems issues
- Process investigations & compensation cases
- Update Policies & procedures
BSA-Specific Responsibilities
All staff are to perform their responsibilities in accordance with BSA/AML guidelines in accordance with the Branch Compliance Manual and as reviewed during annual Compliance training. Suspicious activity may occur anywhere in the bank and be reported by any employee.
- Monitoring OFAC alerts/notices; advise all responsible individuals accordingly.
- Process/clear “ false positive” OFAC hits for items stopped in Actimize (OFAC filter)
- Provide documentation and/or” walk thru” to auditors/examiners for compliance examinations.
- Update OFAC policy and procedures
- Monitoring of transactions both manually and through the OFAC filter to comply with BSA/AML regulations.
- Enhanced Due Diligence: Through (a) annual Risk Assessment; (b) Continuous monitoring for suspicious activities.
- Escalate any problems/suspicious activity to branch management & compliance department.
- Gather pertinent information for adding names to the Exclude Line and Low Risk Tokens lists.
Base Salary - $130,000-$140,000 DOE
