What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Mitten Fluidpower Corporation?
Mitten Fluidpower is an industrial distributor and packaged system manufacturer with offices and stocking locations throughout New York State. Our corporate office and warehouse are located in Syracuse, NY. We are looking for an energetic, dependable individual to join the Accounting team as an A/R Specialist.
Position is responsible for all functions pertaining to Accounts Receivable and will perform the following:
- Invoice daily shipments through the company's ERP system and in customer platforms when required
- Process bank deposits
- Reconcile and record customer payments
- Review customer account balances regularly and initiate collection of past-due amounts
- Establish new customer credit-worthiness
- Maintain accurate customer account information
- Provide reports of customer account balances and collection efforts to Sales personnel and Management
Required skills:
- Minimum 2 years A/R and collections experience, degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and coworkers
- Must be well organized and have strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with the business
Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri, 8 am-5 pm
