SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigate and correct production line problems.
- Observe and listen to machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Inspect and troubleshoot parts and make recommendations in a timely manner.
- Utilize hand tools, gauges and instruments to determine source of problems.
- Propose repair ideas to Supervisor and develop repair plan.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance and repair.
- Review production schedule to determine appropriate maintenance schedule for equipment. Inspect for visual flaws, lubricate machines as necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring mechanical and electrical reliability of extrusion equipment including feeders, vacuum loaders, melt pumps, conveyors, screen changers, pelletizers, and downstream equipment.
- Supports continuous operations by quickly diagnosing failures and performing permanent corrective actions.
- Plays a key role in preventing fires, fiber buildup, and polymer leakage through proactive inspection and cleaning.
- Complete and retain maintenance logs.
- Inventory Management
- Receive, store, and organize spare parts and supplies.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels in the stockroom.
- Preform cycle count in the stockroom according to schedule and or classification per procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of transactions for inventory.
- Identify and report discrepancies in stock levels and coordinate adjustments.
- Track consumption trends to anticipate shortages and reduce downtime. Adjust maximum and minimum quantities to optimize stock levels.
- Receive and verify inbound shipments of spare parts.
- Maintain calibration schedule for meters, torque tools, thermal cameras, vibration meters, and multimeters.
- Stock Issuance
- Issue spare parts to technicians.
- Pack spare parts for dispatch and complete appropriate documentation.
- Update inventory records using management software and logs. Ensure that records are accurate and complete.
- Notify the Procurement Team or Management when stock levels are low.
- Ensure the crash cart is stocked with common failure parts such as heater bands, RTDs, thermocouples, hose clamps, pneumatic fittings, vacuum hoses, filters, connectors, and fuses.
- Perform weekly audits of the crash cart and shadow board.
- Support Maintenance Supervisor as directed.
- Maintain a helpful and friendly working relationship with fellow employees.
- Comply with all applicable customer, safety, ISO9001 and EMS requirements.
- Participate in on call emergency schedule as assigned.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Professional skill and knowledge of manufacturing process of our product.
- Ability to professionally and efficiently correspond with leadership via phone and email.

- Ability to drive a sit or stand forklift.
- Ability to lift/move up to 60lbs.
- Ability to single lift up to 60 lbs. and team lift up to 120 lbs.
- Ability to twist, bend, push, pull and squat.
- Ability to stand, walk for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours per shift.
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school.
- Experience: 7 year’s maintaining manufacturing type equipment. 2 years’ experience in inventory management and/or warehouse.
- Experience working with conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical components.
- Experience maintaining equipment related to plastic compounding.
- Production equipment/tools used in operating line.
- Handheld tools, forklift, and man lift
- PPE including bump cap, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, seatbelts, and body harness
