Quality Lab Machinist
Shift: 1st Shift (Full-Time)
Salary: $23.52-$25.47
The Quality Lab Machinist supports the Quality Lab and various facility locations by preparing test specimens for customer orders, complaints, engineering evaluations, and product development projects. This role requires strong machining skills, precision, and adherence to standardized testing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The starting range for this position starts at $23.52-$25.47. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

Job Description
Quality Lab Machinist

The Quality Lab Machinist supports the Quality Lab and various facility locations by preparing test specimens for customer orders, complaints, engineering evaluations, and product development projects. This role requires strong machining skills, precision, and adherence to standardized testing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free workplace.
- Fabricate samples for mechanical, thermal, electrical, chemical, and wear testing in accordance with standard test methods.
- Operate manual equipment including lathes, milling machines, and other Tool Room machinery.
- Assist with laboratory documentation and material tracking.
- Maintain accurate identification and labeling of all samples/specimens.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot and utilize creative problem-solving when specimen preparation challenges arise.
- Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Use precision measuring tools (height gauges, micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, etc.).
- Participate in document reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and all other safety procedures.
- Verify dimensional accuracy using proper measuring instruments.
- Ensure all products meet quality and acceptability criteria.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with strong reading, writing, math, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to read and understand SDS sheets, SOPs, and JSAs.
- Physically able to perform all required tasks.
- Consistent adherence to safety protocols.
- Basic working knowledge of physical and mechanical testing.
