Quality Technician II / III

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM

Position Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting product quality and process compliance throughout the manufacturing operation. This role partners closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and quality teams to identify quality concerns, implement corrective actions, conduct inspections and audits, and help ensure products consistently meet established quality standards and customer requirements.

This opportunity is open at either the Quality Technician II or Quality Technician III level based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated skills.

Compensation

  • Quality Technician II: Starting at $21.50/hour
  • Quality Technician III: Starting at $22.50/hour

For internal candidates, compensation will be evaluated based on current pay, experience, qualifications, and internal compensation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Utilize measurement and testing equipment to perform capability studies and document process performance.
  • Develop and maintain work-in-process and finished goods quality audits, ensuring audits reflect current customer concerns.
  • Recommend improvements to products, processes, and documentation to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes for compliance with work instructions, process audits, and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain visual quality aids that clearly define acceptable and unacceptable parts and materials.
  • Quarantine non-conforming material and oversee disposition activities while determining ownership and associated costs.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve non-compliant material issues and provide recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Maintain documentation related to inspections, calibration activities, capability studies, and quality plans.
  • Train production team members on audit requirements, inspections, and calibration procedures.
  • Support supplier and customer testing requirements and quality plans.
  • Understand and support Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Temporary Deviation processes.
  • Inspect parts prior to shipment to verify compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Assist with defect remediation and participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience using standard measurement and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and complex procedures.
  • Strong documentation, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers, customers, employees, and leadership teams.
