We're a leading auto recycling and used auto parts company with multiple locations across Connecticut. At our Southington location, we're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. If you're organized, good with numbers, and enjoy supporting a busy office, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

Cash Handling & Deposits

  • Count and reconcile cashier drawers daily
  • Prepare and deliver cash/check deposits to local banks
  • Post customer payments and maintain deposit records

Administrative & Office Support

  • Answer phones, transfer calls, and distribute faxes
  • Manage incoming walk-up vendors and process invoices
  • Order office supplies, uniforms, and other materials
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and paper)

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Enter and pay invoices in accounting software
  • Process customer refunds and car pickup payments
  • Reconcile daily sales, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts
  • Assist with reporting, spreadsheets, and end-of-month tasks

Reporting & Recordkeeping

  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly sales and deposit reports
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets for car calls, taxes, and reconciliations
  • Download and file bank and credit card statements
  • Archive documents as needed

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Support title and vehicle documentation processes
  • Maintain phone extension lists and rental records
  • Help audit change vault and replenish when necessary

Qualifications

  • 2 years of office, cashiering, or administrative experience preferred
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Peachtree/Sage or similar a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable handling cash and confidential financial information
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour shift 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • On-site only
