Tax Paralegal

Mitchell Tax Law is seeking a dedicated Tax Paralegal to provide critical support to attorneys handling complex tax matters. This role involves assisting with legal research, drafting, and document management in areas such as tax controversy, compliance, and planning. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, dependable, and thrives in a professional legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Tax law support: Draft and review pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence related to tax disputes and compliance.
• Document management: Organize exhibits, filings, and supporting materials for litigation, audits, and administrative proceedings.
• Legal research: Research statutes, regulations, IRS guidance, and case law to support attorney arguments.
• Case preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
• Client coordination: Collect and organize client records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–4 years of paralegal experience, preferably in tax law or litigation.
• Strong legal writing and proofreading abilities
• Familiarity with tax law, IRS procedures, and court filings, preferred
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
• Proficiency with Google Suite and legal research tools
