Schedule: Mon: 09:00am-05:30pm, Tue: 09:00am-06:00pm, Wed: 09:00am-05:30pm, Thu: 09:00am-06:30pm, Fri: 09:00am-04:00pm & Sat:(When Physician has Hours): 08:00am-12:00pm
Summary:
• A premier specialty medical practice with over 40 locations throughout NY and NJ has an immediate need for a Licensed Practical Nurse to for their Astoria, Queens location.

Responsibilities:
• Introduces self to patient while escorting patient into the exam room
• Prepares the patient for exams and procedures
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patients
• Administers medications including all types of injections, IV therapy as needed and within the scope of licensure
• Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as but not limited to: dressing wounds, performing catheterizations or applying compresses
• Collects, labels and processes specimens accurately
• Cleans and prepare medical treatment rooms for patient visits
• Assemble and use equipment appropriate to specific medical practice
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients as needed
• Communicates delays effectively when necessary
Requirements:
• Current licensure as an LPN in the state of New York
• Must have BLS/CPR
• Flexibility in hours and ability to cover other departments and offices as needed is required
• Strong computer skills, must have EMR experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
