Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors, door openers, and related hardware using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and building codes to ensure precise installation and compliance
- Conduct glass installation, trim carpentry, lock fitting, fixture installation, and cabinet hanging as needed for complete door setups
- Perform electrical work related to garage door systems including wiring sensors, switches, and motor units with safety adherence
- Use welding, metal stud framing, caulking, and fabrication skills to customize or repair door components on-site or in the shop
- Assist with construction site tasks such as framing, drywall work, metal stud framing, remodeling projects, and blueprint reading
- Lift heavy materials safely during installations or repairs while adhering to proper safety protocols
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project
Qualifications
- Proven experience with door installation including hanging doors and working with various hardware components
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Construction site experience with familiarity in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Strong carpentry skills such as trim carpentry, framing, cabinetry installation, and metal stud framing
- Electrical experience including wiring sensors or motor units in compliance with building codes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installations or repairs
- Customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of building code compliance standards relevant to garage door systems and construction projects

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
