Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

About The Job
Is responsible for managing daily medical records duties. Will exercise discretion and independent judgment for the selection of staff, training, development and completing performance evaluations. Is expected to perform office and non manual work to lead the medical records department. This position must work collaboratively with all staff and maintain open communication with all departments in support of the patient's experience promoting excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.
The Position: 1.0 FTE. 80 hours per pay period.
Hours: 10 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Pay: $24.95, increases with experience.

Position Qualifications
- Education:
- Medical Office degree, AA degree, certificate of medical records professional, or equivalent healthcare experience
- Higher education with a business or healthcare major preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a medical office/healthcare is preferred.
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience is preferred
- High language skills, basic math, and high reasoning ability.
- Familiarity with computer applications in healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds.
- Must have valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
