Responsibilities
- Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams, ensuring effective supervision, training, and development of staff across all maintenance disciplines.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs for mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, HVAC units, and other critical infrastructure.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory levels, asset histories, and maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues using schematics, electrical testing tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters, as well as mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for team members.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by coordinating resources, timelines, budgets, and contractor/vendor relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, safety inspections, incident reports, and regulatory compliance records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize facility operations while minimizing downtime and maximizing energy efficiency.
Experience
- Proven management experience leading facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams in manufacturing or similar environments.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, electrical systems (high voltage/low voltage), plumbing system maintenance and repair.
- Strong familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and industrial control systems.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance management software (CMMS) such as Maximo or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards related to electrical work, mechanical systems, high voltage safety protocols, and general workplace safety practices.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, monitor progress on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting purposes and communication.
- Effective leadership skills with a focus on supervising diverse teams while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Mechanical aptitude complemented by experience in HVAC system repair, plumbing system upkeep, electrical troubleshooting using voltmeters/ohmmeters, and industrial equipment diagnostics.
