Job Overview

Duties

- Collaborate with staff to assess residents' interests and needs to tailor activities accordingly.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during participation.
- Maintain an organized schedule of events and communicate upcoming activities to residents and their families.
- Document participation levels and feedback from residents to continually improve programming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of community within the facility.
- Work closely with nursing staff to ensure that all activities align with the health and wellness goals of the residents.
Skills
- Experience in event planning, particularly within assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Background in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of senior care practices and recreational therapy techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is beneficial.
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting to the dynamic needs of residents.
