What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President position at Misura Group?
Vice President/GM
The Business
Our client is an independent regional distributor and manufacture serving the building materials market across the upper Midwest for over 50 years. The organization has built a strong reputation partnering with dealers, builders, and manufacturers to deliver premium building product solutions while continuing to expand its footprint and market reach. The company generates approximately $100 million in annual revenue.
Ownership is growth-focused, with clear plans for both organic expansion and strategic acquisition. The sales organization currently serves a five-state region, supported by a team known for deep industry relationships and exceptional customer loyalty.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to step into a business with nearly a century of earned trust and lead it into its next chapter. The incoming Vice President/GM will assume full operational and commercial authority for the Minnesota-based headquarters operation, serving as the face of the organization to customers, employees, and the broader market. The role carries meaningful autonomy and direct accountability for P&L performance, team development, and day-to-day operational execution.
With a product portfolio anchored in component manufacturing and currently expanding into engineered wood, doors, and truss systems, there is real runway to grow both wallet share with existing dealer and builder relationships and incremental revenue through new market development. The business serves a 70/30 mix of dealers and direct builders, including national production homebuilders, and expects the Vice President/GM to deepen relationships at both levels.
Organic growth is the near-term target. Longer term, the business will grow via horizontal acquisition in the upper Midwest markets and potentially beyond, positioning this role as the operational and cultural core of a growing platform. The Vice President/GM will be the architect of that expansion, partnering closely with ownership to evaluate, integrate, and lead new locations as they come online.
The team this leader will inherit is a genuine asset. Highly experienced professionals, with a high engagement “no silos” internal culture, and exceptional customer loyalty are hallmarks of the business. The mandate is not to reinvent, but to build on a strong foundation while raising the performance bar and positioning the company for what comes next.
