Job Overview

Missouri Walnut Group is seeking a dedicated, passionate Material Handler to become a valued team member to work within our operations team. This position will work closely with other operation personnel to help drive efficiency and complete the task at hand.

Duties

• Loading and unloading lumber from the line.
• Tracking lumber counts and inventory
• Responsible for banding and un-banding of lumber.
• Perform routine inspection and routine maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects and major repairs to mechanic.
• Operate small equipment and tools to maintain the equipment.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and/or understand basic English in order to comply with safety requirements and supervisor instructions
• Must have experience in the operation and use of medium and/or heavy equipment.
• Must be able to use equipment and tools to perform basic duties, cutting, measuring of items.
• Must possess the ability to follow instructions
• Great work ethic

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Work will be indoors, but can experience high heat and cold.

· Employee is required to mount and dismount from the equipment on a regular basis in the performance of the job.

· Must follow all personal protective equipment and safety requirements.

· Work is in a dusty and noisy environment.

· Employee will be required to frequently lift/move up 50 – 100 lbs. at a time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· The noise level in the work environment is loud

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
