Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently.
• Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and communicating needs to management.
• Develop new beverage recipes and craft signature cocktails to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development.
• Proven experience in food service environments with a focus on fine dining or hospitality industry standards.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
• Experience in food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a restaurant or banquet setting.
