Join us and help make a difference when our members need us most. What You’ll Do: As a Storm Claims Representative, you will manage complex property and auto claims. You will be the front-line response in assessing damage, determining coverage, and ensuring timely and fair resolutions. Key responsibilities include: - Conducting field investigations and estimating storm damage to homes and vehicles. - Evaluating coverage and liability, setting reserves, and making settlement decisions. - Assisting with surge workloads, catastrophe response, and being available during evenings, weekends, or holidays when needed. - Negotiating settlements and coordinating with vendors, engineers, and legal experts. - Documenting claim files and preparing detailed reports and correspondence. - Supporting subrogation and salvage efforts. - Participating in training and mentoring when appropriate. What You Bring - Strong investigative, technical, and negotiation skills. - Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and customer care - especially under pressure. - Ability to work outdoors and travel across Missouri in all weather conditions. - A collaborative mindset and readiness to assist during high-impact events. - Clear, concise communication - both written and verbal. Requirements to Succeed: Storm Claims Representative: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) Intermediate Level - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). - 3+ years of complex claims handling experience. - Completion of AIC Core Courses or 4+ years of relevant experience. Senior Level: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). - 6+ years of complex claims handling experience. - Completion of AIC designation or 8+ years of experience.
