We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll support core accounting operations that are essential to the organization’s financial health and reporting accuracy. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently. - Record financial transactions within general ledgers across multiple entities - Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts; identify and resolve discrepancies - Process routine accounting activities including billings, check requests, and bank drafts - Review transactions and financial data prepared by others for accuracy and completeness - Assist with intercompany transfers and reconciliations - Analyze expense documentation for accuracy and compliance - Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to requests - Partner with internal departments and field staff to provide excellent service and support What You Bring - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment - Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Requirements to Succeed - Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience - 2–4 years of relevant accounting or related experience preferred - Proficiency with accounting systems, data processing tools, and Microsoft Office - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines consistently Why Join Us At Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance, you’ll find more than just a job, you’ll find a stable, purpose-driven organization that invests in its people.
