Fabrication Shop Laborer

An OCCI, Inc. Fabricator Laborer are responsible for all assigned work in the fabrication shop. Missouri Fabricators is a division of OCCI, Inc. a growing company with over 30-years of experience in heavy civil construction. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change.

Essential Duties:

• Perform fabrication work in accordance with customer contract requirements and specifications.
• Willingness to work in welding, cutting or paint department. Training is available.
• Keep track of daily sessions per job by entering allocation of time, consumables and department status.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform work in accordance with Company’s safety practices and procedures
• Material Handling
• Grinding
• Operate heavy machinery.
• Operate overhead cranes and perform safe and efficient lifts of materials.
• Be a team player.
• Opportunity to learn and advance into department specific roles such as basic welding, cutting using CNC machines, sandblasting, and painting.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Fabrication experience a plus.
• Ability to read measurements.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crawl over and under fabricated materials.
• Work extensive hours in a non-climate environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to pass Federal Background Check
