Position Summary
As a Medical Records Assistant, you help ensure patient information is accurate, accessible, and protected within our EMR. This entry-level, onsite role supports compliant record handling and timely information flow across the organization. This position is full-time 40 hours Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Daily Workflow
You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm in Missoula, MT, moving steadily through record-related requests and updates. Your day is structured around careful verification, consistent indexing, and secure handling of information so the chart is complete and reliable when it’s needed. You’ll alternate between focused computer work and short, practical tasks using department equipment, keeping work organized and turnaround times on track while maintaining strict privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Maintain and organize medical information in the EMR
- Support confidentiality and security standards for medical records
- Perform document handling and administrative support tasks, including use of office equipment (fax, printers, postage meter)
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong typing, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Preferred: medical records experience
