JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
F/L Application Technician is responsible for the preparation equipment for foaming / lining TES tanks, applying foam / lining, and post-foam / lining operations associated with the equipment. The Technician will apply coating to the inside of a TES tank using a plural component spray system. Foam is applied using a plural component system to flow foam inside the jacket of tanks for insulation purposes. The Technician will be responsible for all facets of each process.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The work environment temperature mirrors the ambient temperature. Work area will be loud, and around welding, machining, grinding, and metal cutting with oxy/fuel machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires the following positioning requirements with the associated percentage of the workday denoted beside each one: standing (5%), walking (5%), bending (20%), kneeling (10%), squatting (60%). The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds 10-20 times per day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., 45 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Three to six months’ work experience in a paint shop (auto or otherwise) where the use of a paint gun was required.
Preferred Education and Experience
2-year college degree preferred in related field of study.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Experience in Word, Excel, and other Office products preferred.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Lawfully eligible to work in the United States.
