What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Care Specialist position at Mississippi State Hospital?
Mississippi State Hospital is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Care Specialist to support our patient care team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with doctors, patients, and families. You will also educate patients on their care and provide transport to offsite appointments as needed.
This is a first-level Behavioral Health professional position that requires basic evidence-based therapeutic interventions under the direct supervision of a licensed/certified Behavioral Health professional. You will assist licensed/certified professionals with monitoring and collecting behavioral data, implementing therapeutic behavior support plans, and providing data/reports to supervisory personnel.
