MissionHires is seeking a Sr Quality Engineer on behalf of a manufacturing technology organization focused on connecting and protecting customers with inventive electrical solutions. This role leads quality and continuous improvement initiatives, embeds Lean/Six Sigma tools, supports APQP for new product launches, owns ISO 9001:2015 QMS activities, and partners cross-functionally to ensure reliable, high-quality production. You will coach teams, drive root cause and corrective actions, develop Quality Technicians, and use data-driven standards to elevate product reliability and manufacturing capability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach teams on Six Sigma and Lean problem-solving to resolve complex challenges and improve processes
- Support new product introductions through APQP, ensuring quality is built in from concept to launch
- Define and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and statistical control limits using data-driven methods
- Champion Lean/quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, FAI, PPAP) across daily operations
- Own and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, support internal/external audits, and drive corrective actions
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Technicians
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to keep production stable and meet customer expectations
- Drive robust root cause analysis, containment, corrective and preventive actions (RCCA/CAPA) for quality issues
- Establish and enhance in-process quality controls to improve product reliability and manufacturing capability
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field
- 6 years of experience in manufacturing or quality environments
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and customer-facing quality initiatives
- Prior people leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with quality certifications (CQE, CMQ, CQA) and/or ISO 9001 auditing is a plus
- Hands-on experience with process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, and quality systems (FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, FAI, PPAP, APQP)
- Strong root cause analysis and corrective action skills with data-driven decision-making

Salary : $90,000 - $166,000
