Job Title: Community Development Coordinator

Position Summary
The Community Development Coordinator supports MWCDP’s economic and community development initiatives, with a focus on advancing the Pilot Community Tourism Grant Program (PCTGP) and cooperative development projects. The role assists with community outreach, project tracking, reporting, and coordination of partners and events. Secondary responsibilities include supporting updates and data collection related to the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to ensure alignment with broader regional priorities. Key Responsibilities
· Support the coordination and implementation of the Pilot Community Tourism Grant Program (PCTGP) and related cooperative and community development initiatives, including outreach, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and documentation.
· Develop and maintain program resources, toolkits, and reference materials; monitor grant and project milestones; and ensure timely reporting and deliverable submissions.
· Facilitate workshops, trainings, and partner coordination to advance cooperative business development and strengthen community capacity.
· Coordinate communication and collaboration among community partners, County, City, and Tribal governments, cooperatives, agencies, and consultants.
· Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, site visits, and public events; prepare documentation and track follow-up actions.
· Maintain comprehensive databases and records of partners, contacts, contracts, and project deliverables to ensure consistency and transparency.
· Support the design and dissemination of outreach materials to enhance MWCDP’s visibility and public awareness of programs and initiatives.
· Provide administrative and financial support, including invoice tracking, reimbursement processing, and project budget monitoring.
· Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for funders and the MWCDP Board.
· Help organize regional public meetings for community input on projects and development opportunities.
· Assist with data collection and partner coordination related to regional planning initiatives, including integration of outcomes from PCTGP and cooperative projects into the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) framework.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in community development, business, public administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in community development, project coordination, or nonprofit program support. A master’s degree in related field can be considered as equivalent to up to two years of professional experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience in event coordination, public engagement, or tourism promotion preferred.
- Familiarity with cooperative development, community-based business, or rural economic development is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive, Canva, Constant Contact).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team setting.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally and occasionally work evenings/weekends.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: Starts at $45,000–$55,000, depending on experience.

Pay: $44,273.62 - $53,318.77 per year
