As the Legal Assistant, you will be instrumental in building trial binders, managing discovery, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth operation of the litigation process.What You'll Be Doing:Manage litigation calendars, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetingsCoordinate court reporters, experts, and interpretersPrepare, file, and serve litigation documents (e-filing physical); update Proofs of ServiceOrganize trial and discovery binders (physical and digital) for trial-ready presentationScan, index, and maintain document files; manage incoming correspondenceAssist with “Discovery to Display” preparation — turning discovery into trial-ready exhibitsCoordinate client meetings, travel, and lodgingProvide partner support: event registrations, MCLE, conferences, and logisticsSupport focus groups, mock trials, and trial prep logisticsConduct legal research using LexisNexis or WestlawHelp with subpoenas, discovery, and other litigation-support tasksWho You Are:3–10 years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred)Experienced in calendaring, e-filing, and preparing trial bindersOrganized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing deadlinesStrong writing, research, and communication skills*Comfortable interacting with clients, experts, and court personnelProficient in LexisNexis or WestlawCompensation & Benefits:Competitive base salary: $75,000 – $85,000 DOEDiscretionary year-end bonus70% employer-paid health, dental & vision insurance8 paid holidaysAccruing PTO / sick daysPaid MCLE and state bar dues (if applicable)Professional development & mentorshipCollaborative, trial-focused culture with close partner interactionWork Schedule & Location:Full-time, in-office (Monday–Friday) in Los AngelesHigh in-office presence to support the firm's hands-on trial-team modelMake a difference and get trial experience!Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000Reference: 147966#ZRCompany DescriptionMission Recruiting is a dynamic full-service, corporate recruiting company working with a diverse array of clients and candidates.
