A growing litigation firm in Beverly Hills is seeking a Legal Assistant / Office Manager for a contract opportunity with potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
This position combines legal administrative support, litigation assistance, and office management responsibilities in a fast-paced plaintiff-side litigation environment. The role supports day-to-day firm operations and works closely with firm leadership.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing attorney calendars, scheduling, and deadlines
- Preparing, formatting, proofreading, and filing legal documents
- Coordinating court filings and service of process
- Maintaining legal files and case management systems
- Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
- Assisting with office operations, vendor coordination, and administrative functions
- Supporting billing, correspondence, and workflow management
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of legal secretary experience
- Experience with legal filing software required
- Prior office management experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to work independently
- Litigation environment experience preferred
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Beverly Hills
Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday through Friday
- Primarily in-office with some flexibility after onboarding
- No billable hour requirement
- Estimated pay range: $35–$40/hour, depending on experience
- Contract position with a potential contract-to-hire opportunity
