A Virginia Beach plaintiff litigation practice is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage a plaintiff-side caseload involving negligence matters and provide strategic advocacy for injured clients.
The attorney will oversee litigation strategy, client relationships, settlement efforts, and courtroom representation while working alongside a collaborative team environment focused on transparency, professional growth, and client service.
Compensation
- Base salary: $150,000 – $175,000
- Additional bonus opportunity tied to production and performance metrics
- Commission eligibility available
- Relocation assistance may be available

- Motor vehicle accidents
- Premises liability matters
- Medical malpractice claims
- Product liability matters
- Other negligence-based cases
Responsibilities
- Case Strategy & Litigation
- Assess liability and damages through evidence analysis and case evaluation
- Review medical records, reports, witness information, and investigative materials
- Develop litigation strategies and case plans
- Manage files through resolution
- Client Advocacy
- Maintain regular client communication
- Guide expectations throughout litigation and settlement processes
- Support clients during sensitive matters involving injury claims
- Courtroom & Litigation Responsibilities
- Draft complaints, pleadings, motions, memoranda, and discovery
- Attend depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials
- Argue motions and appear in court proceedings
- Settlement & Recovery
- Negotiate directly with insurance carriers
- Maximize recovery opportunities
- Support resolution efforts and settlement strategy
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active Virginia Bar admission
- Litigation experience
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Preferred:
- Plaintiff-side personal injury background
- Trial experience / first-chair exposure
- Experience managing larger litigation caseloads
- Independent file handling experience from intake through resolution
- Settlement negotiation experience with carriers
- Candidates with Workers’ Compensation backgrounds and strong litigation experience may also be considered.
