Associate Attorney – Labor & Employment
Location: Los Angeles, California
An opportunity is available for an Associate Attorney within a Labor & Employment practice supporting public education institutions and public agencies. The position advises K-12 school districts and community college clients on operational legal matters affecting educational environments.
The attorney will work collaboratively across Labor & Employment, Student Services, and Public Agency Governance teams while assisting clients with employment counseling, legal analysis, policy development, and operational guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Advise educational institutions regarding labor and employment issues
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
- Draft employment-related policies and documentation
- Counsel clients on employment and operational matters
- Collaborate across practice teams supporting public entities
- Provide strategic guidance to institutional clients
Candidate Profile:
- 1–4 years of Labor & Employment experience required
- Experience representing employers, public entities, school districts, or educational organizations preferred
- Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities
- Active California Bar membership required
Compensation & Benefits:
- $120,000 – $160,000 base compensation depending on experience
