Senior Family Law Attorney (Litigation) – Remote | Northern California
Opportunity Summary
Mission Recruiting is representing an established and respected Northern California Family Law practice seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to manage sophisticated litigation matters. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 7 years of Family Law experience who is confident in the courtroom and enjoys handling complex, high-conflict cases.
The practice represents clients in challenging divorce, custody, support, and property division matters throughout Santa Clara County, Alameda County, and surrounding Bay Area courts. Attorneys benefit from a collaborative team environment while maintaining significant autonomy over their caseload.
Compensation
Salary Range: $160,000–$200,000, depending on experience

About the Opportunity
This position offers the opportunity to immediately assume responsibility for a sophisticated Family Law litigation practice. The successful candidate will independently manage complex matters while collaborating with experienced legal professionals in a supportive environment.
The practice focuses on high-value and high-conflict Family Law matters, including:
- Complex divorce litigation
- Child custody and visitation disputes
- Property division
- Spousal and child support
- Marital settlement negotiations
- Financial and asset-related disputes
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a complex Family Law litigation caseload
- Represent clients in contested hearings and courtroom proceedings
- Draft, review, and negotiate marital settlement agreements
- Prepare clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses for litigation
- Handle complex financial and property-related issues
- Collaborate with legal assistants and support staff to ensure efficient case management
- Maintain organized case files and workflow using Clio
- Develop litigation strategies and advocate effectively on behalf of clients
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of exclusive or predominantly Family Law experience
- Significant Family Law litigation experience
- Strong courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills
- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and client communication skills
- Ability to independently manage complex cases from inception through resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Trial experience
- Experience using Clio case management software
- Familiarity with Santa Clara County, Alameda County, and surrounding Bay Area courts
- Portable book of business is welcomed but not required
