About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a litigation attorney to join its growing Trust & Probate Litigation practice. This role provides the opportunity to manage sophisticated fiduciary disputes while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Attorneys will handle trust and probate litigation from strategy through resolution, working directly with clients and participating in all phases of litigation. Those interested in expanding their practice will also have opportunities to assist with estate planning and trust administration matters, creating a well-rounded private wealth practice.

Responsibilities
- Manage trust and probate litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Represent trustees, beneficiaries, executors, administrators, conservators, and other fiduciaries
- Develop litigation strategy for complex trust and estate disputes
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy
- Advise clients regarding legal strategy, risks, and available options
- Participate in court appearances, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other litigation proceedings
- Collaborate with attorneys on complex litigation matters
- Assist with estate planning and trust administration matters as opportunities arise
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the litigation process
Recommended Qualifications
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- 3 years of litigation experience preferred
- Trust and probate litigation experience preferred
- Strong civil litigation background with interest in transitioning into trust and probate litigation will be considered
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong oral advocacy and client communication abilities
- Ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience representing fiduciaries in trust and estate disputes
- Probate Court experience
- Mediation and settlement negotiation experience
- Estate planning or trust administration experience
