About the Opportunity
Our client is a globally recognized leader in HR and workforce technology. They are building a flagship client event from the ground up — a multi-thousand-person annual experience that will become the defining gathering for their client community.
This is a rare opportunity to build something transformational at a company with the brand, resources, and executive commitment to do it right. The VP of Events will have full ownership of the strategy, design, and execution of this flagship experience, operating at the intersection of experiential marketing, brand strategy, and enterprise collaboration.
What You’ll Do
• Design and launch a flagship client event — establishing the vision, narrative, and long-term strategy for a large-scale annual gathering
• Deliver a world-class experience for thousands of attendees including clients, partners, analysts, and executives across mainstage programming, breakouts, and experiential activations
• Build unified programming across multiple client segments including small business, mid-market, and enterprise
• Partner with sales, marketing, and business leadership to drive measurable outcomes including pipeline acceleration, client engagement, and brand impact
• Lead end-to-end event operations including budgets, vendors, agencies, and timelines
• Define and track KPIs including pipeline influence, engagement metrics, and ROI
• Align senior stakeholders across business units to deliver a cohesive event strategy
• Oversee sponsorship strategy and event monetization opportunities
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience leading large-scale events or conferences (2,000 attendees preferred)
• Extensive background in experiential marketing, event marketing, or brand experience leadership
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across a complex organization
• Experience managing significant event budgets and agency/vendor relationships
• Ability to balance creative vision with operational rigor and flawless execution
• Track record of delivering measurable business impact through marketing initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading flagship industry conferences or enterprise-scale events
• Background in a large, matrixed B2B technology or SaaS organization
• Familiarity with Human Capital Management (HCM) or HR technology sectors
• Experience with cross-business-unit marketing and integrated programs
• Experience measuring event-driven pipeline, engagement, and marketing ROI
