As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, we are seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Restaurant Server to join our culinary team and ensure every guest enjoys a polished, memorable dining experience.
About the Role
The Restaurant Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service in our resort dining outlets. This hands-on position includes taking orders, serving meals, providing menu guidance, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and attended to throughout their visit.
This position is ideal for a guest-focused professional who enjoys fast-paced service, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering attentive, high-quality service.
Qualifications:What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not required
- Professional Traits: Friendly, professional, detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to exceptional guest service
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest requests and concerns with patience, empathy, and sound judgment
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays and plates up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the operating season
