Production Packer

Mission Foods is hiring packer position for 2nd shift. Packers are responsible for the proper hand-packaging of quality corn or flour tortillas and/or fried products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices, especially good hand-washing practices.
• Hand package corn or flour tortillas and/or fried products.
• Look at stacker mirror at all times to watch for tortilla and or fried product jams.
• Check the appearance and quality of tortillas/fried product.
• Check bags to make sure proper packaging is being used.
• Ensure catch-pan is cleaned constantly.
• Inspect tortillas/fried product to assure they are free of foreign materials or contamination.
• Maintain rework containers closed.
• Rework the tortillas/fried product according to their formula.
• Keep work area clean.
• Report to work on-time to relieve the previous shift.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Must know how to read, write, add and subtract
• Able to work flexible schedule and weekends
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Shift: 2nd & 3rd

***Flexibility with OT and weekends required***

Starting Hourly Pay: $21.56 shift differential, OT, 8 Holidays, & Vacation Pay
